Yours will not match this one exactly

Hand-dipped, so the glaze settles a shade thicker to one side — read across a plate as a faint drift of grey. We photograph one piece from a firing and send you another from the same one. The difference is small, it is real, and it is the reason this is not factory ware.

Reduction

Cone 10 is 1285 °C. Reduction is an oxygen-starved kiln — it is what greys the glaze and warms the bare clay.

Care

Dishwasher
Yes. Fired to 1285 °C — a dishwasher is nothing.
Oven
To 220 °C. Never straight from the fridge.
The foot
Left unglazed and slightly rough. It will mark a soft table — use a cloth.
